KONOS: Determination - Expeditions (Arctic/ Antarctic)

"Traveling" to the North & South
Pole was a true adventure and the kiddos loved every minute of it and got to practice their determination in many areas throughout the day/ weeks.  They couldn't get enough of hearing about all the north and south pole expeditions and the harsh realities of nature the men dealt with to race to be first.  Now of course this led to great discussions on what things are truly worthy of being determined about and giving God the glory for any and all accomplishments we make! (These KONOS posts are still from last school year that I just never got around to posting!  We did this in February!)

More A Picture of Scripture

By Sam:
I found more verses and more pictures so I put them together like before. I changed the fonts as well

as the colors to make each picture look different.

These are actually daffodils but they give the same picture as lilies and I already used my tiger lily pictures.

Not a raven but again, it paints the same picture.

This is one of my favorites, the picture and the verse. This picture I actually took around five years ago.

A Picture of Scripture

By Sam:
The other day I read 'I lift my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?' from Psalm 121. I could just picture the beautiful snow-capped mountains. Then I remembered a bookmark that had that verse on it with some hills in the background. It looked so pretty. I thought that I would try that. So I found some Bible verses and typed them onto some pictures that I'd taken. They turned out great. Here they are:

I took all these pictures at one time or another. Some were from a few years ago, two were from last month. Finding  Bible verses that worked good for a picture was hard but I eventually found a bunch. It was fun finding the pictures that went best with the scripture!

Photos

I took more pictures of my family. Mommy and Daddy actually let me take some pictures of them as long as it was of them both. They almost never let me do that!

Nature Photography

By Sam:
I love to take pictures of anything from people to animals to flowers to clouds. God made this world so beautiful, I can't help but want to take pictures of his wonderful creation!

A rainbow.

A tiger lily.

The sun in the trees.

More flowers.

Looking up in a tree.

A robin's nest.

A sunset.

Some clouds. It is actually bright and sunny out but the setting on my camera made it look stormy.
